Systems integrator T-Systems is to partner with Indian IT services provider Cognizant in a bid to expand its international presence and compete with rivals Capgemini and Atos Origin.

Both companies provide UK customers with information and communication technology, consulting and business process outsourcing services.

T-Systems is the business unit of telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom, employing 56,000 people worldwide, and with five UK offices.

Cognizant employs 55,000 people and has an office in London, as well as an extensive offshore workforce in emerging economies such as India, China and Argentina.
